Send a WhatsApp broadcast

Send an approved template to many contacts at once and track who received and read it.

A broadcast sends one approved template to many contacts at once, for example a promotion, a reminder or an announcement. Each customer gets it as a private chat, and their replies arrive in your Inbox.

Before you start

Create a broadcast

Go to Broadcasts in the left menu and click New Broadcast. Then follow the steps.

  1. Send from. Choose which WhatsApp number sends the broadcast. Customers see this number and business name, and replies come back to it. Numbers marked Not ready need finishing in Settings first. If you only have one number, NexusBot picks it for you and skips this step.
  2. Template. Pick an approved template. You'll only see templates that belong to the number you chose.
  3. Audience. Choose who receives it (see the table below).
  4. Personalize. Fill in each template variable. For {{1}}, choose Contact Field → Name to greet each customer by name, or type a Static Value that's the same for everyone. If the template has an image header, paste the image link.
  5. Send. Give the broadcast a name you'll recognise later, such as "Raya promo Oct 2026". Check the summary and the preview of what customers will see.
  6. Confirm. Tick the box to confirm your contacts agreed to receive WhatsApp messages, click Send Broadcast, then confirm.

Not ready to send? Click Save as Draft on the last step and finish it later.

Tips for better results

  • Send to people who know you. Messaging people who never opted in leads to blocks and reports, which lowers your quality rating and can limit your number.
  • Keep it short and useful. Put the offer or update in the first line.
  • Add a quick-reply button like "Interested" or "Stop promotions" so customers can answer in one tap.
  • Turn on AI replies so customers who reply get an answer straight away. See Turn on AI replies.
  • Test first. Send to a small tag, such as your own staff, before sending to everyone.
